Warranty Claim

Just to share with everyone.

Recently my CK had problems again, this time round the central lock and power windows are faulty.

When I went down to Geely workshop for warranty claim (12 Aug 2009) and was told that my warranty is void as I had not visit their workshop for servicing for the past one year.

Previously I did all my servicing at my friend's workshop and didn't had any idea that it will cost me a warranty void.:confused:
Furthermore its cheaper to do servicing at private workshop.

Now the only way to bring back my warranty is to make a servicing booking dated at early Sept 2009.

So guys and gals, please take note of this impt message:
During warranty period, please send your car back to Geely workshop for servicing in order to allow warranty to be valid.

Number of problems since day one:
- Left head light misalignment
- Spongy brakes
- Engine overheat
- Screw caps found missing
- Radiator fan belt broke while driving
- Speedometer and odometer broke
- Central lock for rear right door didn't work
- Power window at rear left door didn't work
- Wiper water tank leak
- Parking sensor fail

One more thing to take note:
Parking sensor, audio head unit and battery only had one year warranty.
My parking sensor failed after one year. SO--> Cannot claim.:smilie_help:

ya agreed, but i did all my servicing since day 1 at geely. And yet they void my warranty cos of modification to my engine. So pissed, they charging me $600+ for repairing 1 of the window and central lock.

Geely still got a long long way to go with those lousy services

Hey coolsters, seems that my car got the same problem as yours, wed (020909) I just send my car for warranty claim.

Its for these defects:
1. left rear door power window unable to wind up but can wind down
2. right rear door central lock failed
3. engine coolant leak problem.

I left my car for 2 days and end up they actually repaired my rear right door lock and replaced the entire central lock unit! :violent-smiley-066:

A radiator hose near the gearbox area is replaced too! :confused-smiley-009

Worse of all is that on Thursday when I collect back my car, everything was fine, but on Friday I realize that my car sometimes can lock sometimes it doesn't! Seems that the new central lock unit isn't a good component. :confused:

I called back Geely to complain about the "newly introduce" problem.

The supervisor told me to come back on Monday (070909) for warranty claim again and that he pre-amp me that I have to park my car for at least 2 days again.

yes p0318693, this car really causing lots of problemz. whenever i send my car for servicing, they will need at least 2days for sure. other outside shop need only 1hr at most.
better dun go back unless u still hv warranty.

anyway i found 1 long scratches on my left door after collecting back my car from them. i din manage to check while collecting my car as it was too dark. drives back park, until i see a long scratch on the door the next morning. not 100% sure whether the scratch came from my hse area or from geely staff. i got a feeling the scratch done by them as they are not really happy when i refuse to let them repair while they quote mi 600buck.
dun put so much hope on them.

Haha, coolsters, we are both in the same boat, after I have made so much claims within 1 year and 3 months of ownership, suddenly one day i realized that my right rear wing till the right rear door has a long long scratch.

Hmmmm.....Sounds very coincident and similar.

Guess what, they left a screwdriver inside my car after the last repair. Zzz....:laughing-smiley-014

My last repair is 070909, door central lock problem.

The repair job is done with so-so standard as it is not really fully repair.
I don't think it help much to complain, kind of waste of effort, reason being that other owners also facing problems.

Every time when I go Geely workshop for repair/servicing, i always saw other owners making a fuse about his/her car at the Geely Manager.

I don't think it helps to make complain, doesnt really solve the root problem---> car was not well built at the first place.
